S*** for Brains

The toilets at 'De La Ray Mkatshwa' junior school were awash with raw sewage. Three inches of water, littered with floating faeces and toilet paper, flooded the floors.
The sight of the filthy toilets being used on a daily basis by upwards of 350 children, was only surpassed by the clawing, gut-renching stench from the toilets.
The prospect of these children actually using these facilities was horrifying, but this was indeed the reality, and the potential health hazards for these already challenged children were unthinkable.
We employed a local plumber to fix the toilets, ensured that the septic tank was emptied, the walls painted, and the toilets scrubbed and cleaned. It's by no means a perfect job, we have still got a long way to go. The school has employed a local lady to ensure the toilets are cleaned on a daily basis & the children supervised. We subsidize her wages so we also require help with this, but we would like to take it further.
We would now like to help with a caretaker or maintenance person, which would cost approximately R2500 per month about £150. If you can help, please get in touch.
